1. Choose this one for the river

    1. Yeouido Hangang Park

    The river is the feature you cannot reproduce with an indoor shopping stop. Keep the plan simple: a walk, a place to pause and enough flexibility to leave if the weather turns.

    Check the current park notice if a fountain or event is the reason for your visit. Keep a simple walk as the fallback when seasonal activities are not running.

    Search 여의도한강공원; the city lists 330 Yeouidong-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu. Choose a specific meeting point within the park and route to it.

  2. Choose this one for trees and inland paths

    2. Yeouido Park

    여의도공원

    This is the inland park, not a second name for the Hangang waterfront. The city's guide describes wooded, grassy and ecological areas with walking and cycling paths.     The distinction saves a surprisingly easy planning mistake. You can choose the setting you want instead of arriving at one park with a photograph of the other in mind.

    Adding both parks increases the walking. If you only want one short break between other plans, there is no obligation to do both.

    Save 여의도공원, 68 Yeouigongwon-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu. The Korean names differ by 한강: keep that word in the riverside search and leave it out for this inland park.

  3. A noodle lunch away from the waterfront

    3. Jinjujip

    진주집

    Kongguksu, noodles in soybean broth, is the dish highlighted by Seoul's official tourism listing. It also lists spicy noodles and chicken noodle soup.     Choose kongguksu for the soybean broth, or consider the spicy noodles and chicken noodle soup listed by Visit Seoul. The menu gives this meal a different focus from the park walk.

    Sunday and holiday closures can rule this meal out. Check the menu and service on your intended day before making a special trip.

    The listing places Jinjujip at 33 Gukjegeumyung-ro 6-gil, in the Yeouido Department Store basement, with phone 0507-1379-6108. Search 진주집 with 여의도 to avoid similarly named restaurants elsewhere.

  4. For water gardens in reused industrial structures

    4. Seonyudo Park

    선유도공원

    Seonyudo turned a former water-filtration plant into an ecological park on a Han River island. Concrete structures, aquatic planting and paths make the water infrastructure part of the visit.     Choose Seonyudo when the landscape design interests you as much as the river. Allow time to explore its reused water basins and planted paths.

    Seonyudo and Yeouido are separate islands. An exhibition space inside a park can also close earlier than the surrounding paths.

    Use 343 Seonyu-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu. Seonyudo Station is on Line 9; check the pedestrian approach to the island rather than routing to Yeouido by habit.

  5. For artist spaces alongside working metal shops

    5. Mullae Art Village

    문래창작촌

    Mullae combines active steel workshops with artist studios, small cafés and street art. The appeal is the mix of work and creative reuse, rather than a purpose-built shopping village.     Choose one open café or exhibition as an anchor, then look around the surrounding streets. A particular open door is more useful than expecting the whole neighborhood to follow museum hours.

    Metalworking continues here. Stay out of workshop entrances and loading areas; a studio is not automatically open to visitors. Many workshops close on weekends, changing the street’s character.

    Use 문래창작촌 near Mullae Station on Line 2. Visit Seoul lists 13-8 Dorim-ro 128ga-gil as a reference address; check the exact studio or café you plan to enter.

Before you go

Save the parks as two separate pins. Jinjujip's official tourism listing says it closes on Sundays and holidays; check the date first if noodles are the reason for your trip. Check the weather and current riverfront access notices before heading outdoors.
