It sits near Insadong and Nakwon Music Market, with Jongno 3-ga Station on subway lines 1, 3 and 5 nearby. It suits an afternoon of neighborhood exploring, with shopping and coffee along the way.     Choose it for the tiled roofs and the change of scale from Seoul's larger roads. Continue to nearby Insadong if you want more browsing.

    Start your map search with 익선동 한옥거리 or Jongno 3-ga Station. Ask before photographing inside a shop, and leave entrances clear.

  2. For cafés, design and a shopping-led afternoon

    성수

    Seongsu pairs former industrial spaces with cafés, flagship shops and cultural venues. Seoul Tourism Organization describes both its café streets and its mix of design-focused stores.     Give the afternoon a theme, such as beauty, stationery or coffee, and choose one main stop. The rest can stay flexible. Olive Young N Seongsu and Amore Seongsu are two options for cosmetics shopping.

    Check a pop-up's dates and entry rules before making it your main stop.

    Save the exact Korean name and address of your anchor store. 'Seongsu' is an area, not one entrance, so route to the place you intend to visit.

  3. For street culture and open-ended browsing

    Hongdae works as a mood-led outing. Give yourself permission to browse instead of collecting fixed sights. If clothes, small shops and the possibility of street performances sound more appealing than hanok lanes, move it to the top of your own list.
